Task Brief
Surfer — Design Recruitment Task
Context
You run a cycling blog. You've just purchased the Standard plan, which includes: 1 brand, tracking for up to 50 pages/posts from your blog, and 25 ChatGPT prompts.
Design a short onboarding flow that helps you set these things up.
Assumptions
- —You've already registered — either via Google or email/password
- —The plan was purchased in the previous step
- —You're now entering the onboarding flow
Requirements
Brand setup
- —Add a brand by connecting Google Search Console or entering the blog URL manually
- —Brand name and location are auto-filled, but editable
- —AI generates editable brand information: target audience, business type, industry, product description, competitors, and key topics
Pages / Posts
- —List of pages and posts is fetched automatically
- —Task: select up to 50
- —Consider how you might make this selection task efficient for the user
Prompts
- —Prompts are generated automatically and grouped into categories (5 categories × 10 prompts each)
- —Task: select 25
Additional onboarding steps
Left to your discretion.
Deliverables & notes
- —No need to design every state — happy path is enough
- —Format and visual style are up to you: static Figma screens, a prototype, or anything in between
- —Focus on UI quality and interactions (which you can describe verbally during the presentation if needed)
